Blake Hudson is an environment officer who lives in a converted lighthouse
on the southwest coast of England. Sky McPherson is a pathologist, recently
assigned to the area. Both of them share a past.
Heathrow flight 101 has flown many routine journeys to and from Florida,
so what made the 747 suddenly plunge into the Atlantic Ocean, killing
all passengers on board? Joyce Masterson has taken care of her invalid
mother for years without any complaint. However, when the rain came,
everything changed. So, what made Joyce do those unspeakable things
when the lights went out?
Through the course of their work, Blake and Sky set out
to uncover the answers and this was their biggest mistake.
For
the truth is a conspiracy at the highest level and it will expose them
to unimaginable terrors. As the rain falls, and in a race against time
they will have to battle not only for their survival but for that of
mankind against the greatest power on earth; nature.
Things
People Say: "Some scenes are so atmospheric, I could feel the hairs
rising on the back of my neck. I couldn't put it down." "After
reading Nimbus, I had to keep reminding myself it was only a book."
"I will never go out in the rain again!"

Unspeakable
is Tony's second novel and was completed in June 2002.
The
supernatural thriller is set in London in an enigmatic apartment building
called Heron Heights and tells the story of a successful publisher and
how the tragedies of his teenage years come back to haunt him and those
he cares about the most in the present.
"I wanted to write something original and atmospheric.. something
that would scare the readers witless! It took a while to complete the
secnd draft by getting up at five o' clock every morning and producing
two hours worth of writing before leaving for the office. It's been
tough but hopefully it's paid off although I know it's going to need
another draft before it's submitted for publication."
Coming Up for Air was born out of Tony's
own personal experience. The project began in 2003.
.
"I was actually working on another project
at the time when a personal relationship that I had been in for six
years ended. I took it pretty badly and was unable to write for a while.
Like most people, I thought I would never recover from it and, most
importantly, thought I would never shift the writer's block that had
descended on me. But I did. I was in the USA at the time, considering
the future, when I had the idea for a new project; a non fiction novel
about relationships. Why, as humans, we can be so loving but sadly,
most often, hurtful to each other. Clearly, this was a subject matter
that I had become very intimate with. I also met many people who shared
their personal stories with me." And thus the project dubbed 'Coming
Up For Air' was born."
Since then, Tony has gone on to interview many more people, including
members of the United States Air force and Marine Corps. "I wanted
to to include some chapters on the stresses and strains of relationships
in the military but, most importantly, I wanted to write something that
anybody could pick up and read. And I think I am doing a pretty good
job so far as my Mum was actually reading excerpts from the first draft
the other day!
"What
I love most about this project is that all of the stories are true,
including mine, but I've written the manuscript as it if were a novel;
I've set scenes and written descriptions accordingly. So instead of
it being just a 'self help' book it's actually something that I hope
people will enjoy reading and, of course, can relate to." The project
is currently on hold but Tony plans to pick it up again in the near
future.
Tony
has already laid done thirty thousand words of a 4th manuscript, title
unknown.
"I
can't say much about it. Suffice to say that many peope had suggested
it to me but I never really considred it until now. I've got so many
projects on the go though that I don't know whether I'm coming or going!
There have been so many changes in my life but hopefully once things
start to settle, I can refocus once more."
